Another Great Recipe

Here is a great chili recipe that, believe it or not, is a fat-burner. There are so many healthy ingredients in this it’s hard to believe when you taste it.

  1. 1 package organic ground turkey. approx 1.5 lbs
  2. 1 large red pepper, diced
  3. 3 jalapeno peppers sliced (medium hotness)
  4. 2 large onions, diced
  5. 4 cloves of garlic, crushed
  6. 1 sweet potato, diced, skin on
  7. 1 can beans, white or black, water included (add at the end)
  8. 2 tbs extra virgin olive oil
  9. 1  28 oz can fire-roasted organic crushed tomatoes
  10. 1 pkg frozen spinach
  11. 1/4 cup dark chocolate chips
  12. 3/4 cup organic quinoa
  13. 1/2 cup flax seeds (pulverized if your system can’t deal with the seeds)
  14. 2 tbs molasses
  15. 2 heaped tbs chili powder (3-4 if you like more heat)
  16. 2 tsp cumin
  17. Cayenne if you like it hotter (this is a metabolism booster)
  18. Sea salt to taste
  • All veggies in a large pot; sweat them down in the EVOO
  • Brown the turkey and add to veggies
  • Add tomatoes
  • Add frozen spinach, and let all remaining ingredients simmer for 45 minutes until veggies are soft
  • If you like a looser consistency, add beef stock, tomato puree or red wine (or a cocktail of all three)
